Day One: Make a Plan

Holiday parties and travel can push you out of your usual routine. Make a plan and set aside time to get your exercise in. A plan will allow you to enjoy the holidays with your family without worrying if you’ll ever get to your workouts. Before everything gets crazy and it gets easier to make excuses, schedule a specific time to get to the gym.

Day Two: Meal Prep

Planning, preparing and packaging your meals and snacks for a week can do wonders. Decide on a menu, then prepare or order your meals according to the calendar. Meal preparation is an awesome way to ensure you save time and money while prioritizing nutrient-dense meals throughout the week. The web is full of quick-and-easy meal prep plans. Take the guesswork out of your meals so you can spend more time on holiday activities with your family and friends. Check out the BiPro website for great recipe ideas to include in your meal prep.

Day Three: Stay Active

Go snowshoeing (or hiking if you are fortunate enough not to live in a tundra). You’ve been hitting the treadmill for a while: don’t let it be in vain. Snowshoeing and hiking are great excuses to get outside, take advantage of winter’s beauty and spend time with your peeps! If hiking isn’t your thing, walk around the block with your grandkids or take a trip through the mall. Keep fitness in mind even while relaxing at home: enjoy the benefits of squeezing in a few sit-ups or squats during commercial breaks. Check out the BiPro website for workout tips.

Day Four: Prepare for that Party

It’s easier to stick to your regimen at a holiday get-together if you aren’t hungry walking in. Remember to eat a healthy snack or meal before attending. It will make it easier to move past the snack table. Also remember to drink plenty of water.
